Doubling Privacy Policy

Version: 1.0
Effective date: October 14, 2026

Doubling is designed as a local-first app. Core workout data is not stored in a Meroviq user-account server, and raw accelerometer and gyroscope streams are not retained long term.

1. Accounts and Meroviq servers

No account or sign-in is required for the core features. The App currently does not operate its own user-account server or cloud-sync service for storing core workout records.

2. Information stored on your device

The App may store workout schedules, baseline and training-cycle information, workout duration, speed and incline, target and measured cadence, progress and completion records, distance, treadmill profiles and calibration data, workout-setting changes and derived sensor events, optional perceived effort and heart-rate information, personalization state, backup state, and health-export state.

3. Sensor data

The App may use accelerometer and gyroscope data to estimate cadence, detect device movement, and detect treadmill-setting transitions. Raw sensor streams are analyzed on the device and are not stored long term. Derived information such as cadence summaries, confidence, transition timing, or device-movement events may be stored when needed.

4. Bluetooth and compatible treadmills

If you use a connected treadmill feature, the App may use Bluetooth to discover and connect to compatible equipment. Depending on device capabilities, the App may read speed, incline, distance, elapsed time, or other supported values and may send control commands. Bluetooth permissions are requested when this feature is used.

5. Health information

If you optionally enable Apple Health or Health Connect integration, the App may read permitted information such as heart rate and may export completed workout records. Health integration is optional and is not required for core operation. Health data is not used for advertising.

6. Notifications and system features

If you enable workout reminders, the App may use notification permissions. On Android, if you choose to use the mini controller, the App may request permission to display controls over other apps. Permissions are requested contextually when a feature requires them.

7. Backup

You may export App data to a backup file. The App does not sign in directly to Google Drive or iCloud and does not upload backups to a Meroviq cloud server. If you choose an external storage provider through the system file picker, that provider’s policies may apply.

8. Data transfers

Core workout records and raw sensor streams are not designed to be transmitted to a Meroviq server. When you deliberately connect a health platform, Bluetooth device, or external file-storage destination, data may be exchanged with that service or device according to its own technical behavior and policies.

9. Data deletion

Using the App’s delete-all-data feature removes Doubling’s local App data from the device. Information already exported to Apple Health, Health Connect, or another external destination is not automatically removed and must be managed through that platform.

10. Security

The App may use technical measures to maintain local-data integrity and validate backup files. No storage method can guarantee complete protection against all loss, corruption, or unauthorized access.

11. Children and minors

The App is intended for users who can appropriately assess exercise ability and treadmill safety. Where a minor uses the App, use should follow applicable local law and appropriate guardian guidance.

12. Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when features or data practices change. Material changes may be communicated through the App or related service pages.
